Robert M. Owens is a trial attorney experienced in both civil and criminal matters. Robert graduated with honors from Ohio Wesleyan University where he majored in history and minored in journalism. While at Capital University Law School, Robert clerked for a premiere personal injury litigation law firm and subsequently clerked for the Honorable George Smith, a Federal Judge for the U.S. District Court, Eastern Division.

Directly after graduation from law school, Robert began working for one of the largest law firms in Columbus, Ohio where he gained valuable experience in corporate, real estate, employment and personal injury litigation. Even in a large law firm environment, Robert focused on individual needs and concerns, resulting in repeated honors for superior client service. Robert returned to Delaware, Ohio to practice in the law office of Firestone & Brehm where he independently handled a wide range of litigation and transactional matters including civil jury trials, criminal jury trials, juvenile criminal trials, domestic trials and will contest/probate trials. Robert's writings have been featured in professional trade publications and he has been a lecturer on litigation topics for other lawyers seeking continuing legal education. Robert is also accredited by the Ohio Division of Real Estate to teach continuing education topics to Real Estate Agents.

Robert's attention to detail and ability to "think outside the box" provides his clients a distinct advantage in and out of the courthouse. Robert's past experience in one of the largest law firms in Columbus, combined with his childhood in a rural environment has inspired him to provide big city legal services without sacrificing small town compassion and economic realities.

Teri M. Owens is the Law Office Business Manager and Litigation Assistant.  She is a 1997 graduate of Capital University Majoring in Criminology and Psychology, minoring in French and Sociology.  Teri received a scholarship to and has done post graduate work at Capital Univerity Law School gaining over ten years of legal experience both as Legal Assistant and Litigation support.

Teri's gifts in business combined with her legal background and organizational skills will ensure the efficient, accurate and professional handling of all client matters.  In addition, her psychology background and incredible analytical skills give her insight into the human psyche that provides our clients with a unique litigation advantage.
